1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By accessing, browsing, or utilizing buildproject.in (the "Site", "Platform"), generating estimates via our Live Cost Estimator, or commissioning custom electronics hardware through our official WhatsApp channels, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Student", "Client", or "You") and buildproject ("we", "us", or "our"), an independent electronics prototyping and engineering educational services provider based in India.

If you are accessing this site on behalf of an academic project group, team, or laboratory, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind all group members to these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of our site and services.

2. Scope of Services & Hardware Prototyping

buildproject provides electronics hardware prototyping, component sourcing, custom firmware development, circuit design, and academic documentation services. Our offerings include:

• Custom Hardware Prototyping: Assembly, soldering, wiring harness creation, sensor interfacing, and microcontroller integration (STM32, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ARM Cortex, FPGA).
• Interactive Live Cost Estimator: Real-time Bill of Materials (BOM) calculator tracking vendor prices across Indian electronic component distributors.
• Bench Testing & Verification: Rigorous laboratory signal testing, power rail validation, telemetry checks, and video demonstration prior to courier handover.
• Academic Deliverables Packages: Project Synopsis (3-5 pages), IEEE-format Comprehensive Project Reports (40-60 pages), Circuit Schematics, Flowcharts, Block Diagrams, and Viva Voce preparation question banks.

3. Educational & Academic Deliverables Disclaimer

All prototypes, codebases, wiring schematics, and documentation deliverables provided by buildproject are strictly intended for educational demonstration, laboratory evaluation, research modeling, and academic coursework reference.

4. Cost Estimator, BOM & Price Variability

Our online Live Cost Estimator is built to provide transparent, accurate estimations based on component price feeds and average vendor benchmarks in India.

• Dynamic Semiconductor Market Fluctuations: Due to global semiconductor availability, local distributor inventory levels (Robu, Quartz, Element14, Sunrom), and currency fluctuations, component prices shown on the calculator represent real-time benchmark estimations.
• Official WhatsApp Invoice Confirmation: The final binding quotation is issued via official buildproject WhatsApp consultation upon reviewing specific pinout requirements, component revisions, and target delivery timelines.
• Out-of-Stock Equivalents: In the event a selected microcontroller, transceiver, or IC becomes unavailable from Indian distributors during procurement, we will recommend an pin-compatible or functionally equivalent substitute with prior client consent.

5. Milestone Invoicing & Deliverables Delivery

To ensure mutual trust and accountability throughout the engineering fabrication lifecycle, custom hardware projects follow a structured milestone process:

Payment receipts and milestone status are acknowledged directly via official WhatsApp and email records.

6. 100% Pre-Dispatch Bench-Testing Guarantee

Zero broken hardware at delivery is our foundational operating standard. Every hardware prototype built by buildproject undergoes rigorous pre-dispatch testing:

• Voltage regulation inspection and short-circuit protection verification across all DC power rails (3.3V, 5V, 12V).
• Firmware compilation, flashing, and sensor telemetry loop stress-testing.
• Actuator, display, relay, and RF communication validation under load.
• Video Verification Proof: Prior to packaging, our laboratory records a personalized timestamped video demonstrating the working prototype, sensor triggers, and display outputs, shared directly with the client.

7. Shipping, Courier Transit & DOA Policy

We ship tested hardware across all major cities and university hubs in India using insured, reputable express courier partners (Bluedart, DTDC, Delhivery, Speed Post).

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because each hardware project involves custom engineering design, bespoke wiring fabrication, and immediate procurement of physical semiconductors from third-party distributors:

• Prior to Component Procurement: If an order cancellation request is submitted within 12 hours of booking and before components are ordered, a full refund less minor banking gateway transaction charges will be issued.
• Post-Procurement & Fabrication: Once physical components have been purchased and assembly has begun, the component expenditure and bench labor costs are non-refundable.
• Documentation Deliverables: Digital deliverables (synopsis, reports, PPTs, codebases) that have already been transmitted to the client are non-returnable and non-refundable.
• Unforeseen Project Rejections: In the unlikely event an academic guide requires a topic change after work begins, we offer project transfer credits towards an alternative hardware configuration upon mutual review.

9. Intellectual Property & Source Code Rights

Upon full settlement of all agreed milestones for a project:

• Client Usage License: The client is granted a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, inspect, modify, and present the delivered firmware source code, circuit schematics, and project reports for their individual academic thesis, coursework evaluation, and university demonstration.
• Platform Intellectual Property: buildproject retains ownership of its website UI, algorithms, proprietary library abstractions, the Live Cost Estimator software engine, and branding assets. You may not scrape, decompile, or commercially mirror our platform.
• Open Source Compliance: Underlying open-source libraries (e.g., Arduino cores, FreeRTOS, Linux kernels, ESP-IDF drivers) remain subject to their respective open-source licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL).

Every custom hardware package includes structured remote technical support:

• Guided Setup Session: Video call / WhatsApp guidance to walk you through initial powering, sensor placement, and serial monitor verification.
• Viva Voce Explanation: Assistance in understanding pinout mappings, code architecture (setup, loop, interrupt routines), and common examiner questioning points.
• Support Duration: Active remote assistance is valid for up to 30 days post-dispatch or until the client's final scheduled semester exam, whichever occurs first.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability Limitation

THE PLATFORM, BOM ESTIMATOR TOOLS, AND EXPERIMENTAL HARDWARE DELIVERABLES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE INDIAN LAW, BUILDPROJECT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR APPLICATION.

In no event shall buildproject, its founders, engineers, or fabricators be held liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from project delays, carrier shipment holds, academic grading decisions, or component failure after unboxing verification. In any circumstance, our maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific project order in dispute.

13. Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Contact

These Terms shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or services rendered shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
